AA DESIGN MUSEUM IN HONGDAE

A café, a museum and a showroom with beautiful furniture, these can all be found in this 5 floors building in the lively, young and hip area Hongdae. It’s a lovely place to enjoy beautiful items while having a drink and eating a small snack.
This loft-building is owned by the famous Korean vintage furniture collector Myung-Hwan Kim. He’s also the owner of the famous Italian restaurant ‘AGIO’ in Hongdae, which we’ve mentioned in the restaurant-section (also a must visit!).

WONDERFUL COFFEE, SALADS AND DESSERTS AT AA DESIGN MUSEUM

After you’ve entered, you’ll get the feeling that you’re somewhere outside of Seoul. The 19th century French doors, the antique lampposts from London and the Scandinavian design chairs are factors which makes this a unique place to hang out in the afternoon. At aA Design Museum they serve good coffee, delicious biological salads and especially the desserts are to die for! (see picture).

What makes the aA Design museum such a unique place, is because you’ll find a collection of furniture and ornaments from all over the world of the past twenty years. The collection varies widely and it’s for sale for the ones who are interested in buying it.
