Places we Know

City center of Rotterdam

 You can explore the city center of Rotterdam by foot. Compared to Amsterdam, everything is very close together within walking distance. So no need to use the public transportation, but if you are one of those lazy ones, keep these two stations in mind;

Blaak

Around Blaak you’ll find ‘THE’ architectural attraction of Rotterdam: De Markthal. From here you can also see and visits the cube houses and ‘De Oude Haven’ where you can go for a nice bite and drink. Station Blaak is also close to the streets: Meent, Botersloot and Pannekoekstraat where you can find some cozy restaurants and nice boutiques.

Beurs

If you step out of station Beurs, you will be in the middle of the center of Rotterdam. Here you will find the major shopping streets such as de Lijnbaan and de Koopgoot. The big chain stores like De Bijenkorf, Media market, Foot Locker, Zara, H&M are all located in this neighborhood. From here you are also close to de Coolsingel and Meent.

You should also get off at station Beurs if you want to go to the cultural Witte de With straat. A very nice street with tons of restaurants, bars and shops. In my opinion one of the nicest streets of Rotterdam!

The Witte de With straat is also easily accessible via station Eendrachtsplein. Just like Chinatown and Museum Park.
