Normally we are not a big fan of hostels, because most of them are dodgy and dirty. But we make an exception for King Kong Hostel in Rotterdam. An urban style hostel with a perfect location on the bustling Witte de With street, where many bars, cafés and restaurants are located. The building of King Kong Hostel was built in 1872 and had different purposes.
There was once a tattoo parlor and illegal casinos. And perhaps the most famous, a brothel, who was known worldwide for the most beautiful and exotic women. A building with a ‘not-so-good’ image. But last year King Kong hostel opened her doors and gave this beautiful building a new purpose!
There are several rooms available, ranging from rooms with multiple bunk beds to private rooms with king beds. The interior design is playful, tough and industrial. The rooms are decorated with stylish furniture and vintage accessories. And here and there you will bump into things that you would not expect in a hostel. Climbing ropes, gymbucks, hammocks and much more… so this all makes King Kong Hostel just such a nice place to stay and to chill!
