Would you like to experience a real Seoul? Then you definitely can\u2019t skip Insadong! In this area they sell mostly very traditional Korean stuff. It\u2019s the best place to buy old books, antique, paintings, beautiful ceramics and traditional Korean clothing. The vibe in this area is very special, friendly and nice. Also, you\u2019ll find large, crowded shopping streets with lots of neon lighting and loud K-pop music everywhere.<\/p>\n
In Insadong you\u2019ll experience three different views in just one day. In the early morning it\u2019s very quiet and you won\u2019t bump into many people. In the afternoon it will become more crowded and busy on the streets of Insadong. Here and there you\u2019ll spot musicians singing songs of John Mayer, Jack Johnson or some other famous Western artist. In the middle of the main streets you\u2019ll see stands with diverse Korean snacks, fresh coconut juice or typical Korean lemonade, which they sell in a small bag. Very cool! In the evening people stroll down the alleys of Insadong to find a restaurant. This is our favourite part of the day to visit Insadong!<\/p>\n
Insadong is also the place to be for many traditional restaurants, cafe\u2019s and teahouses, where you can enjoy an afternoon tea or a wonderful dinner. Eating out is different here compared to the other areas of Seoul. Here you\u2019ll experience the true Korean kitchen while eating with the locals in a traditional setting. We loved it!<\/p>\n
